The
Restaurant
Co-owner
and chef, Paul Doull, invites you to his restaurant at the Foveran
- a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike.
The
restaurant, a creation of local architect Bashir Hasham in the late
1970s, has an elevated position which provides visitors with panoramic
sea views over Scapa Flow and the southern islands of Orkney.
Paul
believes in serving only the very best of fresh local produce in
his own style, while retaining the succulent, natural flavours of
Orkney's finest ingredients.
Prime
Orkney beef and lamb can always be found on our menu along with
superb local seafood, ranging from Organic Westray Salmon to local
scallops. Lobster is also available, with prior notice, and we have
a range of vegetarian dishes..
Our
sweets have been particularly well-received, with Foverans
Orkney Fudge Cheesecake winning recognition and praise from Neil
MacLean, the food critic from the Sunday Times newspaper.
Before
sitting down to their meals, our diners can relax in the pre-order
lounge. There, hosts Helen and Shirley will assure you of a warm
welcome.
Our
friendly and efficient staff will ensure you are treated to true
Orcadian hospitality throughout your meal.
Our
wide range of carefully selected wines will complement any dish
and we also offer a selection of local and Highland malt whiskies
to sample in front of our open fire.
